#112. God Rules OK.
The Rulers of the world make great boasts, the Rich think they can have anything, Celebrities think they are everything, we all think we are something. The Almighty God says:
“All flesh is grass, and all its beauty is like the flower of the field.
The grass withers, the flower fades when the breath of the Lord blows on it;
surely the people are grass.
The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.” (Isaiah 40 v6-8).
The Kings of the earth, the Princes, the Presidents, the Prime Ministers exalt themselves, but Isaiah (40 v21-23) says:
Do you not know? Have you not heard?
Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood since the earth was founded?
God sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers.
He stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in.
He brings princes to naught and reduces the rulers of this world to nothing.
Our trust is in the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will be our Guide even to the end.
