Matthew Chapters 5,6,7 - The Sermon on the Mount

It is an amazing thing to be a believer in Jesus! As believers we are adopted into the family of God, and God Himself becomes Our Father!  This is mind-blowing, but we have a relationship with God as Our Father!   In the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew chapters 5,6,7) Jesus speaks a lot about Our Father and ourselves in relationship.  Let’s read it and see what we can learn about this relationship, asking the same questions of each passage of Scripture.

1. Read Matthew 5v1-16.  What do these verses tell us about Our Father and ourselves?
2. Read Matthew 5v43-48.  What do these verses tell us about Our Father and ourselves?
3. Read Matthew 6v1-8. What do these verses tell us about Our Father and ourselves?
4. Read Matthew 6v9-15.  What do these verses tell us about Our Father and ourselves?
5. Read Matthew 6v25-34.  What do these verses tell us about Our Father and ourselves?
6. Read Matthew 7v7-12. What do these verses tell us about Our Father and ourselves?
7. Read Matthew 7v21-23.  What do these verses tell us about Our Father and ourselves?
